Nearly the end of February.... already? The album is starting to take shape. I probably have more than enough material, but I want this album to be quality, not quantity, as was sort of the case with Pandora's Box. This album is going to be pretty nice if I do say so myself.

I am still writing, still recording, still mixing, still mastering. I still have ideas and need to get them out. I guess the main thing is that I do not want to rush this album at all. I want to have time for my creativity.

I have been working on a song which has no name, and also the song which will be the first track on the album. I have all in all probably about 25-30 tunes. I want to narrow it to about 8.

Keep an eye out..... more updates in the nearish future. For now though, just be patient peeps.

ah yes, the holiday season.

I have been working a lot on lyrics as well as trying to get the sounds of the new songs right.

• Recorded and finished two new songs, "Dark" and "Fields"
• Currently working on the songs "Wake Up" and "Pig Pen"
• Working on a yet unnamed song (working title is "Never Trust")
• Playing a small show at a Christmas celebration at Camp Cedarbrook tomorrow night

That's about it folks. I've been working very had to revamp the album into something better than what it was before. I want this one to be big.

after a month of down time, things are starting to happen again. with a nasty run in with laryngitis singing isn't possible, and without a voice, making music is rather difficult to me.

• I wrote a song called "Fields" last night.
• Tonight I worked on a new song called "Wake Up". the chords for the song and the melody hearken back to around 2007. I never had words.

I am completely going to re-think most of the songs I have written/recorded thus far. I do not like the direction I was going. I want more acoustic and more electric... less electronic. I like electronic... but I do not feel it for this next album.

I have been taking a brief reprise from writing and recording as of late. The latest song in the oven baking is called "Pig Pen", but I have yet to figure out how I really want it to sound. I'm still playing with the instruments and such. I was inspired after taking care of pigs for a while... they are totally different from anything I had ever been around.

Not much else to report.

I worked on a new tune today called "The Particles Separate"... which may need a name change before things are through. I am very happy with the way it turned out. It all stemmed from a line I thought of one day- "you slip under the door like a fog machine".

It's a very bass and drum driven song... which is the case for most of the album thus far. I have about 7 tracks totally done on album 4. With any luck, I'll be well on my way to completing it by early 2012.

I still have a collaboration that is going to happen on the song "Let Em Go"... so I'm looking forward to hearing that.

Other than that, not much has been going on on the music front. I played on the radio last Sunday and premiered some album 4 stuff.

Haven't worked on much, but did get a good line for a song thanks to mom. Not going to spoil thew surprise yet. I have been trying to work on a song called "Death of an Empire".

It's coming along great now actually. I have the basic tune down and I'm working on getting the rest ironed out. I have lyrics. This is going to be a great tune I think. Keep your eyes peeled.
